Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate registration details and keep your contact email current so we can reach you about security and account matters.

Minimum age

Sojial is intended for users aged 16 years and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. This threshold also reflects the age of consent for information society services under GDPR-based child-consent rules in Austria. We do not knowingly allow accounts for children below this age, and accounts found to breach the age requirement may be removed.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant Sojial a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your content solely to operate, secure and improve the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained for legal or safety reasons or in backups for a limited period.

Media & rights

Only upload media you own or are allowed to share, and that does not infringe others' rights. Permitted formats are JPEG, PNG and WebP. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and, where people are identifiable, the necessary consent.

Prohibited content & conduct

No harassment, hate speech, threats or incitement to violence; no illegal content; no child sexual abuse material (zero tolerance, reported to authorities where required); no non-consensual intimate imagery; no impersonation; no spam, scraping or automation that harms the service or other users; and no attempts to break platform safety or security. See the Community Guidelines.

Events & listings

Events created by users and any external event information are provided for convenience without warranty of accuracy, availability or suitability. Always verify details with the organiser. Sojial is not the organiser of user or third-party events and is not responsible for them.

Acceptable use

Use Sojial lawfully and respectfully. Do not misuse reporting, evade blocks or bans, or interfere with other users' safe use of the service.

Moderation

We may review, limit, label or remove content and accounts that violate these terms or the law, with proportionate and logged action. Where the Digital Services Act applies, we provide a statement of reasons and a complaint path — see the DSA and Moderation appeals pages.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations, legal requirements, or risks to safety or security. You may stop using Sojial and delete your account at any time — see Account deletion.

Reports & appeals

You can report content or accounts and, where a moderation decision affects you, request a review. See Content reporting and Moderation appeals.

Availability

Sojial is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

Liability

The service is provided as-is during this phase. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law; nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Austrian/EU law (including for intent, gross negligence or personal injury). Final liability terms are subject to legal review.

Governing law & consumer rights

These terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For business users, the competent court in Linz, Austria, shall have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer-protection rules and mandatory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected, including the rights you have under the law of your country of residence in the EU.
